Prof. Dr. Dirk Andres
Bio:
Prof. Dr. Dirk Andres is a specialist lawyer in insolvency law and a partner at the national law firm AndresPartner. He is appointed as an insolvency administrator by several insolvency courts in Germany. He also advises companies, managing directors, shareholders and creditors on all matters relating to financial and performance-related restructuring. Andres is a board member of the Düsseldorf Association for Insolvency and Reorganisation Law e. V., regularly publishes on insolvency law topics and is co-editor of a commentary on the German Insolvency Code published by C. H. Beck. He is also on the advisory board of the Institute for Insolvency and Reorganisation Law at the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. He is a member of the Gravenbrucher Kreis, the association of leading insolvency administrators and restructuring experts in Germany, and of Forum 270 – Qualität und Verantwortung in der Eigenverwaltung e. V. The renowned JUVE publishing house has been counting him among the leading names in insolvency administration in its handbooks since 2017/2018. In 2018 and 2019, WirtschaftsWoche included him in its list of the most renowned insolvency lawyers in Germany. The specialist publisher Best Lawyers lists him in the 2020 edition of Germany's Best Lawyers for restructuring and insolvency law.
