Marta Flores is a professor of Commercial Law at the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid. Doctor in Laws, she is a renowned expert in Insolvency Law, a matter over which she has written three monographies and published more than fifty papers and book chapters.
She is a member of the Spanish Association of Insolvency Law (AEDIN-Asociación Española de Derecho de la Insolvencia) and of the NextGen programme of the International Insolvency Institute (III), as well as a regular guest speaker in national and international insolvency-related events. Her research activity on Insolvency Law has been awarded several grants and awards: the award “Francisco Salgado de Somoza” (2014), the award “Yuris Concursal” (2015) and the award of the Madrid Bar Association in the field of insolvency and restructuring (Premio Secciones ICAM, 2020). Additionally, she belongs to several competitive research projects, both at a national and at a European level.
She is the author of the Report in the Regulation of Insolvency Office Holders for the Insolvency Office Holders Forum (IOHF) of INSOL Europe and of the Code of Best Practices of the main Spanish association of Insolvency Practitioners (ASPAC-Asociación Española de Administradores Concursales), as well as a member of its Best Practices Committee.
