Brandon Beal is a managing director in FTI's Corporate Finance & Restructuring practice and is based in San Francisco. Mr. Beal has more than twelve years of accounting and advisory experience, with clients ranging from small startup companies to Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Beal specializes in the revitalization of underperforming companies. He has served as an advisor to senior management in both out-of-court restructurings and throughout formal bankruptcy proceedings.

Mr. Beal has additional experience in pre-acquisition due diligence, sell-side due diligence, post-transaction integration, operational restructuring, asset liquidation and trustee advisory work.
He has experience in a number of industries, including software, technology, real estate, retail, manufacturing, telecom, and professional services. His experience includes working with global companies with operations throughout Europe and Asia.

Mr. Beal was recently engaged as the Interim Chief Financial Officer of an automated retail company, in which he coordinated financial reporting, leg the annual budgeting process and oversaw he day-to-day accounting activities.

Mr. Beal led the restructuring effort and successful divestiture of four major business units of Trident Microsystems, Inc. He advises senior management through pre-and post-petition bankruptcy processes. He coordinated settlement discussions between the unsecured creditors' committee and the equity committee. He was involved in the successful Sec. 363 auction, which significantly increased recoveries to creditors. Subsequently, he organized the wind down of 15 foreign subsidiaries.

Mr. Beal was also involved in the financial restructuring of Fairfield Residential LLC, a $3 billion multifamily housing developer/manager. He served as a financial advisor and crisis manager throughout the restructuring. He prepared detailed analysis of corporate structure and property level operating performance. He constructed forecasting models for the company for both the pre-and post-petition periods. He coordinated all due diligence efforts for creditors, advisors and potential investors and effectively negotiated a consensual Plan of Reorganization. He subsequently served as the financial advisor to the liquidating trustee.

Some of Mr. Beal's other notable restructuring engagements include Delphi Automotive, Mervyns, Hawaiian Telecom, Brobeck, Phleger and Harrison, LLP and Velti Inc.

Prior to joining FTI, Mr. Beal was a senior auditor in the Assurance practice at the Los Angeles office of Ernst and Young. While at Ernst and Young, Mr. Beal was responsible for performing and reviewing audit procedures, drafting financial statements and reviewing financial transactions. Mr. Beal specialized in clients in the entertainment and technology industries.

Mr. Beal holds a M.B.A. in finance and strategy from Vanderbilt University and B.S. in accounting from the University of Southern California. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors.
