Cynthia joins the Restructuring team in KPMG Hong Kong since 2007. She has extensive experience in various types of restructuring work including liquidations, receiverships, estate administration and cashflow monitoring for distressed companies, with focus on retail industry and estates. In 2014, Cynthia was seconded to KPMG Cayman and BVI for several months.

Cynthia manages formal restructuring, liquidation and receivership projects and facilitates restructuring and assets recovery. Her experience includes pre-pack asset and share sale, restructuring of listed companies, cashflow monitoring and forecasting, assets realisation including worldwide trademarks portfolio, and fund flow investigations. She works alongside legal advisors on proceedings including debt recovery actions, injunctions and garnishee orders, winding up petitions, bankruptcy petitions and interpleader proceedings.

Cynthia handles estate engagements where there are executors/ beneficiaries disputes; she manages the estate’s assets, conducts investigations, deals with disputes amongst beneficiaries and creditors, and facilitates distributions. She works closely with legal advisors on probate-related and contentious matters.

During her offshore secondment, Cynthia involved in the administration of a scheme of over twenty liquidating funds, assisting in transitional arrangements, scheme implementation and distributions.

She also have experience in liquidation analysis and options analysis. In particular, Cynthia assessed the impact of inter-company realisations in the US Lehman Brothers entities, in the Plans of Reorganization, on the recovery of the Hong Kong estates and facilitated agreement of claims.
